Somewhere, somehow, somebody is making money off the ignorance in American society. Now, I'm not talking about insane conspiracies with giant lizards vying to take control of our natural resources, but what I am suggesting is that some people, possibly very high up in the government, are being persuaded into stifling scientific explorations.
We need to explore. Ignorance is the greatest threat to society & scientific exploration, experimentation, & discovery will keep us from being enveloped in callow ineptitude. To quote Neil deGrass Tyson tweeted the other day:
The day we stop exploring is the day we commit ourselves to live in a stagnant world, devoid of curiosity, empty of dreams.

Remember, just because you don't understand something, that doesn't mean:
- It's stupid
- It's not worth knowing
- It's useless
- Nobody else understands it
- It is impossible to learn & understand it
