Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys

The French are quite bizarre. An article over at the Guardian has a slideshow of French children's books. These books make you wonder if the French's French-ness is just being self perpetuated by a the older generations. Or, perhaps, French children are actually different from everyone else and do actually crave such bizzare books. Here are a few examples from the article.
French books: L'abecedaire de la colere
The ABC's of Anger
French books: La grande dame et le petit garcon
About a large woman that sucks children out of their windows and puts them up her skirt
The full article along with complete slideshow, written by Jenny Colgan, is here.
