Do you come from the land down under?

Where women glow and men plunder?

I had to reset my cable box and this came up.

I don't know why I find this ominous

Maybe it's an inherent and unconscious fear of non-living things becoming more human; the theoretical Uncanny Valley. That's a bit Isaac Asimovian.

Or perhaps it's slightly more along the lines of a 1984, Orwellian type of a feeling of unease. 

Or maybe it's a throwback to Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. The fear that TV will become the only way we learn and reading is archaic. 

Then again maybe I'm wary of some type of Skynet becoming self-aware and destroying the world. 

I should really learn to stop worrying.
